A Spectrum Management Agency for South Africa

The Department of Communications (DOC) proposes in an amendment to the Electronic Communications Act, 2005 (ECA Bill), to form a new Spectrum Management Agency (SMA) responsible for all spectrum allocations, while actual assignments of frequencies will be divided between the SMA and ICASA.
